"Over the last four years I have had the pleasure to be coached and mentored by Coach DeJesus while playing Defensive End at Brentwood High School. During these past four years, I have progressed my defensive end play and abilities since 9th grade. In addition, while playing for Brentwood High School, Coach DeJesus was able to teach me so many valuable skills and techniques that not only can I use on the field at the collegiate level but also through life. One thing that helped me the most in the past four years would be how well he taught us different techniques in practice to utilize during games. He taught me Mental Toughness, that if you have your head in the right mindset that you can do anything and the only thing that can stop me was me. He taught me that if you callous the mind, it would be hard for anything to break you. He also taught me that it doesn't matter how much talent you have or how athletically gifted you are, but if you don't give 100% effort all that talent doesn't matter."

"Coach DeJesus is an amazing coach, leader, and mentor. Playing for Brentwood High school for these last 4 years as a Nose guard under Coach DeJesus has been nothing but a pleasure. He Coached me to go from not playing a single defensive snap to being an All-County Nose guard the next year. He not only has taught me many lessons and valuable skills on the defensive line, but he also gave me many life lessons. He taught me the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity on the field and in real life. Coach DeJesus helped me grow tremendously as a football player and as a man throughout the last 4 years. I truly believe I wouldn't be where I am today without him."
